A conservation area or listed building doesn't mean your ambitions are out of reach. We bring planning advice into the design process from the outset, helping you understand what may be possible before committing to a design.
Our planning adviser, Colin Leadbeatter, brings senior council leadership experience, experience across several London authorities, and an established professional network in London planning. His understanding of policy and how councils assess proposals informs our approach.
Colin works closely with our architects. Our team will explain his advice and remain your main point of contact, with direct discussions with Colin arranged for larger or more complex schemes.
Before we design
Colin advises our team on what may be possible for your property. We use this advice to shape the brief and explain the options to you.
Before we submit
He reviews the design against the relevant policies, helping us address potential concerns before the application is submitted.
While the application is live
He oversees its progress and, where needed, speaks with the planning officer. Clear, policy-based responses to questions or objections help reduce avoidable delays and support the best achievable outcome.
